[Edit: Massive props, they actually fixed it. This app is no longer listed in my updates list.] The app works as intended. The only issue (which I think is on the apps end) is that after it last updated it got stuck in the list of apps in need of updates. It doesn't actually need an update I don't think and when I hit update it doesn't, so that's kind of weird. Overall that does not affect the way the app runs through.

Update: I got immediate response from the developer (see below) and a request to change my review, but nothing changed on my end. It was still stuck on my "pending downloads list" and it wouldn't come off. I finally deleted the app and re-installed it but that didn't work either. It reappeared on the list and won't come off. From the other reviews here, it looks like I'm not the only one to complain that this app doesn't want to update. I can't get it off my "pending updates" list.

Unacceptable! I've tried clearing cache, I've uninstalled and reinstalled. Restarted my phone. Made sure everything is up to date . Still unable to make any in game purchases or use Google pay for anything. Google please fix this! Galaxy s23 ultra so I know it's not a phone issue. Update: support reached out and was able to quickly help fix the issue. There was a bug preventing it from updating so I had to uninstall update, return to factory app, then reinstall updates. Thanks for the help 🙂

Does what it's meant to, helpful for saving progress on some games, I cycle thru games often so it's nice not having to start all over. Currently, it refuses to update, ik others have mentioned it but I feel the need to as well. I honestly just wish it was compatible with more games, most games have other ways of saving data so it's not a huge deal.

I really like this idea with turning to PC games. I also like Game Snacks. The only issue in having is sharing my Google pass with daughter (10yo) and it not working for Among US. Like it just gets stuck on the tablet, never goes online or recognizes her Play account. So I ended up having to use Steam or Microsoft and buying it (frustrating!)

Usually very good, but since some form of update by Google or my S9 Plus, none of the advertising buttons work. The buttons for extra time, additional bonus, etc. I'm happy that I'm not getting ads, but not getting bonuses is making things very difficult. Being all games it has to be a Google setting. Any ideas? I have Nord VPN, but no matter which country and even when turned off, it is still the same. Once fixed I will change to 5 stars.

Nice place to play games, glad they fixed that update issue! There's a lot of fun bite-sized games available, but don't get super attached to any of them. Sometimes there's no difficulty options, sometimes they don't have enough / updated levels, and sometimes the pop-up ad gets in the way of the game play (there's a ball bounce game where, when trying to resume the game, it's hard to get your rhythm back after it's paused like that due to needing to keep your finger on the screen).

After almost 3 months they finally fixed it! 🤦‍♂️ I click update on app and it disappears as if its going to update but then it just instantly reappears and says update. No matter how many times you click it, close all programs, reboot phone, and etc. It always does the same thing and reappears. The positive side is at least it didn't break/brick the program! It works just fine as before the broken update posted AFAIK. It just won't update so no major issue AFAIK. 🤷‍♂️ It's just annoying. 😅

Deleting data does nothing. I have gone through so much data deleting here, there, everywhere. No matter what I do, I can't simply restart a game. It's driving me away from gaming apps all together. So frustrating. Thx for responding, but I know the issue. The apps are given their own data that can't be cleared without contacting them directly. I still think it makes Google services look bad that there's no data protection.

I just recently broke my recent Google Pixel 6 with all of my games under the control of my Google Play Games account. After getting a new phone and trying to sync with my old phone, the app isn't working and I cannot sign in to any of my games with Google Play Games. I'm very disappointed and displeased with how this is. I thought the app could save your progress and sync between devices but no. I've lost all my games. Don't use this app, as it lies and does not track progress.

As many others are saying, the app is staying perpetually in the download list. I've sent screenshots to CS, but their unhelpful response is the same as for others & never answered my question about if updates caused it to be unusable by my phone with Android OS 10. If it helps at all, the product page only has "open" and "uninstall" options. "Update" is not an option, and the app works fine, so I don't think it needs an update. Pls get it off our lists, though. Thanks.

Really annoying! There are a few games that I really love to play however, for the past month or so whenever I try to play them it's a nightmare process if I even get to. And the support desk kinda helps but not really. Change my date, change my time, clear cache, restart, etc......but it doesn't always fix it. I've lost points, money and some of my sanity trying to have the patience to work through it almost every single day! Also, the stupid update won't clear off from my "needs to be updated

When the app works, it's great. However mine has some kind of bug preventing me from updating. It shows, "last update Oct 22." So since I can't update, I also can't make in-app purchases for some apps, and am unable to download any new apps. This is unacceptable and annoying. I have an S20 that's always up to date on updates/patches, so I don't understand what's wrong. Regardless of the reason it's broken, it's extremely frustrating nonetheless

Update stuck. Says updated 2 days ago with the update button available but choosing it does nothing. The notification and button won't clear. Edit: 10/27/24 Your help center is very unhelpful. The response I received in your email has nothing to do with the issue that I stated. The update that it shows will not go through. The update will not clear. Trying to look for any other update is impossible. I cannot update anything. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times, clearing cache/data.

For the past month there has been an update available for this app, but every time I click on update it acts like it's going to download for a second then stops and says update. I've deleted the app and reinstalled it and nothing changes. Apparently many others are having this same issue. I don't want to entirely delete my account and the app because I'll lose all progress. HELP US GOOGLE!!! Thanks in advance!

Says it needs to update Play Games in Updates. I try to. Starts, then quits on its own and shows it still needs an update. When in the app store, it just shows open or uninstall - no update. Doesn't seem to affect anything else but is incredibly annoying that it won't clear. This has been going on since October, please get it together and fix it already!

Cannot update this app even after uninstalling it, shutting off my phone for 30 seconds, turning it on again & reinstalling it. I even tried deleting the app cache, but that didn't work either. It just keeps showing in the list of apps that need to be updated, and it's the only one showing up that needs to be updated. I don't have the time or patience to figure out why!

I have read that it's a issue and ya'll will look into it.. Whelp, it's been in my upgrade section for 2wks now and I can't move it. So let's go ahead and make this your 1st priority and fixing whatever to get it off the upgrade line. It's frustrating when you get a notification for something that won't go away! Other than that good job on the games;)

Great when it works but right now, it's refusing to update. My Android phone software (Samsung) is up to date as are all the other Google Apps. Of all the apps to successfully update today, this is the ONLY one that WASN'T successful. The app is still accessible but can't clear the app from the list of apps to update and I can see from the reviews here that I'm not the only one that is currently having the same problem. Would love a solution please, it's honestly my first issue with this app.

I like this app, but, I'm having trouble trying to update. When I go to the app info, it gives me the options to open the app or uninstall the app. But, in the update apps section, I try to update it, but, I can't. It seems that Play Games has finally been able to update. I checked twice, and it's no longer in the update section. Thank you Google.
